Tips for Boudoir shoots

1. Choose outfits that make you feel good

Don’t just pick what looks trendy pick what feels flattering and comfortable on your body. Whether it’s lingerie, an oversized shirt, a robe, or even a simple bodysuit, confidence always photographs better than anything else.

2. Prep your body but keep it simple

Hydrate, moisturize, and do any light grooming you normally do (shaving, nails, etc.). Avoid trying anything brand new right before (like new skincare or waxing) to prevent irritation or breakouts.

3. Get into the right mindset

Boudoir is as much mental as it is physical. Take time beforehand to relax listen to music, hype yourself up, or even practice poses in the mirror. Remind yourself this is about celebrating you, not perfection.

4. Communicate with your photographer

Share your comfort level, insecurities, and what you do want captured. If there are angles or body parts you’re sensitive about, say it. A good photographer will guide you and make you feel safe.
